My husband Michael and I took a much needed vacation for our anniversary this December. We hadn’t been on a real vacation together since even before the pandemic. But with COVID, we were looking for a place that felt safe where we could spend most of our time outdoors. Then I came across Isla Bella Beach Resort in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys (View website here). Even with the pandemic, we felt very safe. Masks were required wherever you were near others (which really wasn’t often since it is so spaced out) and literally everything is outdoors.
I truly cannot recommend this place enough! It felt like a smaller, boutique resort but had great amenities, like 5 pools and 5 different places to get food and drinks. We actually brought some of our own so we didn’t have to spend quite so much. They had a lovely market where we got breakfast most mornings, with anything you could possibly need. They also have bikes to use as well as paddle boards, which we took advantage of. We only went for 2 nights and I instantly regretted it because it went by WAY too fast! We will most definitely be back!
