What an honor it was to photograph Lauren + Scott’s gorgeous wedding! They tied the knot at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens in Nashville Tennessee! If you are searching for a destination & Nashville fine art film wedding photographer, give me a call.
When love is the most important thing, tying the knot is all you want to do. And for this gorgeous couple, they said their “I Do’s” under a sweet floral arch at a beautiful estate in Tennessee. Sounds ideal, right? Well, it didn’t quite go as planned due to that stinking global pandemic. Check out their story to wedded bliss below. Because one thing is for sure, COVID-19 can’t cancel LOVE!
Lauren & Scott’s wedding is featured on Martha Stewart Weddings! Quoted from the blog – “Scott and Lauren’s original plan was to exchange vows in Kruger National Park in South Africa. Unfortunately, after they finally selected November 25, 2020, COVID-19 appeared. And a result, the world got turned upside down. And we knew our date was untenable,” says Lauren. Happy, in love, and ready to make a lifelong commitment.
The pair decided to organize a micro wedding on a tight timeline. “However we planned a bit backward,” says Lauren. “Calling the vendors and designers we loved and asking them to provide the earliest dates they could make work.”
July 20, 2020, proved to be the best choice for everyone. Including a gorgeous outdoor venue in Tennessee.

“Out of necessity, the details for the event came together quickly. “When you don’t know if a city will be on lockdown, you can’t plan too far out,” says Lauren. “So, we put everything together within two to three weeks.” “We prioritized creating an intimate experience with family. And focusing on what weddings are about – basically, a commitment before God and the joining of two families.”
The day itself was a wonderfully personal affair with just eight guests. The ceremony took place beside the property’s reflection pool. Where a floral arch stood gracefully among the stately trees and shrubbery.” – Martha Stewart Weddings
“Though she’d always dreamed of the all-white wedding dress, Lauren immediately fell in love with a silk Monique Lhuillier gown. The beautiful wedding dress had a delicate butterfly and floral print. “After trying on countless other dresses, nothing could touch the beauty of the printed ‘Tuileries’ gown,” she says. And Lauren received her wedding gown just two days before her flight. Which left just enough time to get it hemmed.” -Martha Stewart Weddings
