Rebecca and Brian are one of my sweet couples who got married in New Orleans this past July! But they both live in Los Angeles so we decided to shoot Rebecca’s bridal portraits at El Matador Beach in Malibu. I have dreamed of that California light ever since I started shooting weddings. And this was my first ever experience shooting in Southern California! Let me tell you, that light did NOT disappoint! I don’t know what it is, but the light in Southern California is so soft. It just creates this soft, warm blanket around everything it touches. Needless to say, it made me want to move to California like yesterday. But, for now I’ll have to just enjoy being Rebecca and Brian’s Los Angeles Fine Art Wedding Photography.

Also, I must say, this session was not easy! Since this was a few months before the wedding, it was extremely important not to get Rebecca’s gorgeous Pronovias gown dirty. El Matador beach has a lot of clay and dirt up top, and then when you get to the beach, the water is quite high and close to the rocks, so we really had our work cut out for us! It was such a fun challenge and I am so happy with how the images turned out. I can’t wait to headlock to Southern California next summer for another wedding!
