Best of Dogs in Weddings and Engagement Sessions

My friends, I don’t think you are ready for the adorableness that is this blog post. Here I have for you some of my favorite dogs in weddings and engagement sessions from the past five or so years. Being a huge dog lover, there is truly nothing better than when a couple brings their precious pooch to their engagement session or wedding. If you are thinking of bringing your pup to the wedding or engagement session, here are a few tips I have learned over the years…

  1. For the engagement session, we usually start taking photos with the pup, so you will need to bring someone who can take the pup so we can continue taking photos of just you two. Most couples have a friend or family member who doesn’t mind coming along. I recommend bribing them with dinner and drinks after the shoot.
  2. Bring treats and toys! This will help me get the pup to look at the camera. A squeaky toy is best and little treats that the pup can eat real quick are usually the best.
  3. If you are bringing the pup to the wedding, I highly encourage you to hire someone or ask your regular dog walker to be in charge of the dog all day. We usually get a few of the dogs getting ready with the bride or groom and a few portraits before or after the ceremony.

Okay, I know what you are thinking… “blah blah blah, BRING ON THE DOGGOS!” So here we go!

And of course, I have to end it on my sweet pup, Ollie…
